My Previous Color Consulting Portfolio

I love color so much that I went to school to become an International Color Consultant (before I went to school to be a personal stylist, too), where I studied color in interior decorating as well as the essence of color psychology. Our focus was on lighting, saturation, texture, undertones, shades, cohesive color palettes, creating visual flow for design work, and color perception. After I graduated, I still wanted to understand how much color touches and what it affects in our lives, so I researched and studied color history, cultural meanings, physiological and psychological effects, and its uses in a variety of disciplines such as marketing, website design, film, event planning, and organization. Eventually I found my way to personal color systems. This is where I began to understand how color can alter or influence our perception of others and how we appear to another person... which led me to years of working as a virtual color consultant for over 5 years for broadcast media & print shoots with models, news anchors, lawyers, makeup artists... etc. and writing articles & blog posts on color theory and use. I would work on the colors and materials that looked best for a client (whether that be lawyers, TV news anchors, artists, small business entrepreneurs, models, etc.) and discuss this "palette" with the fashion director so that she and I were able to do wardrobe pulls for our clients that needed to look their best!

Here is a sample of some of the projects I did during that time…
